2005 Highlights
Increased operating profit margins to 19.3 percent.
Received major recognition from Wal-Mart, Office
Depot, Staples, Inc., S.P. Richards Co., Corporate
Express and other customers. Also received the
Manufacturer of the Year Award from the Office
Products Wholesaler Association; the European Office
Products Award; the Vendor of the Year Award from
the hardware and home improvement industry;
and the 2005 Cause Marketing Silver Halo Award
for the nation’s best health-related campaign for our
support of breast cancer awareness and research.
Further strengthened our brands with new
products combining strong functionality and stylish
design. Examples include the Scotch®Contour Tape
Dispenser, Scotch®Stretchy Tape, the Scotch®
Masking Tape Applicator, Scotch®GlugulsGlue
Sticks, plus new varieties of Scotch-Brite®Sponges,
O-Cel-OSponges and NexcareBandages.
Continued to extend our brands into adjacent
market segments. Recent brand extensions include
Post-it®Picture Paper and Scotch-Brite®Super-Cling
Cleaning Products.
