TheCompanyaccountsforitsemployeestockincentiveplansunder
AccountingPrinciplesBoard(APB)OpinionNo.25,“AccountingforStock
IssuedtoEmployees”andtherelatedinterpretationsunderFinancialAc-
countingStandardsBoard(FASB)InterpretationNo.44,“Accountingfor
CertainTransactionsInvolvingStockCompensation.”Accordingly,nostock-
basedemployeecompensationcostisreflectedinnetearningsforthe
yearsendedDecember31,2004,2003and2002,asalloptionsgranted
hadanexercisepriceequaltothemarketvalueoftheunderlyingcommon
stockonthedateofgrant.OnFebruary18,2004,theCompanyannounced
thatitwouldbeginexpensingstockoptionsstartingJanuary1,2005using
thefairvaluerecognitionprovisionsofSFASNo.123,“Accountingfor
Stock-BasedCompensation.”InDecember2004,theFASBissuedSFAS
No.123R,anewaccountingstandardthatwillrequiretheexpensingof
stockoptionsandaffecttheaccountingfortheCompany’srestrictedstock
andstockappreciationsrightsasofthebeginningofinterimorannualre-
portingperiodsthatbeginafterJune15,2005.Earlyadoptionispermitted
forallcompanies;consequently,onJanuary1,2005,theCompanyearly
adoptedthestockoptionexpensingrulesofthenewstandard.

REPORTINGSTRUCTURE
TheCompanyhasfourreportablesegments:Digital&FilmImagingSys-
tems(D&FIS),Health,CommercialImaging,andGraphicCommunications.
ThebalanceoftheCompany’soperations,whichindividuallyandinthe
aggregatedonotmeetthecriteriaofareportablesegment,arereportedin
AllOther.Adescriptionofthesegmentsisasfollows:
Digital&FilmImagingSystemsSegment:TheD&FIS
segmentderivesrevenuesfromconsumerfilmproducts,salesoforigina-
tionandprintfilmtotheentertainmentindustry,salesofprofessionalfilm
products,thermal,traditionalandinkjetphotopaper,chemicals,traditional
anddigitalcameras,digitalprinters,photoprocessingequipmentand
services,anddigitizationservices,includingonlineservices.
HealthSegment:TheHealthsegmentderivesrevenuesfromthe
saleofdigitalproducts,includinglaserimagers,media,computedand
directradiographyequipmentandhealthcareinformationsystems,aswell
astraditionalmedicalproducts,includinganalogfilm,equipment,chemis-
try,servicesandspecialtyproductsforthemammography,oncology,and
dentalfields.
CommercialImagingSegment:TheCommercialImaging
segmentiscomposedofdocumentimagingproductsandservices,com-
mercialandgovernmentsystemsproductsandservices,andoptics.The
RemoteSensingSystemsbusiness,whichwassoldtoITTIndustriesin
August2004,isaccountedforasadiscontinuedoperationinpriorperiods
andthecurrentperiodupthroughthedateofsale.
GraphicCommunicationsSegment:TheGraphicCom-
municationssegmentiscomposedoftheCompany’sequityinvestments
inKodakPolychromeGraphics(Kodak’s50/50jointventurewithSun
Chemical)andNexPress(Kodak’s50/50jointventurewithHeidelberg)
priortoitsacquisitioninMay2004,andthegraphicsandwide-format
inkjetbusinesses.ThissegmentalsoincludestheresultsofScitexDigital
Printing,whichwasacquiredinJanuary2004andhassincebeenrenamed
KodakVersamark,aswellastheresultsoftheNexPress-relatedentities
subsequenttotheacquisitioninMay2004.
AllOther:AllOtheriscomposedofKodak’sdisplayandcomponents
businessforimagesensorsandothersmall,miscellaneousbusinesses.It
alsoincludesdevelopmentinitiativesinconsumerinkjettechnologies.
