audits, Beate thoroughly reviews the
restaurant’s trading area. Then, she
collaborates with the owner/operator
to create a plan to take advantage
of opportunities and overcome
challenges.
In addition, she conducts four profit
and loss reviews annually with each
operator, discussing the restaurant’s
financial performance and identifying
ways to improve profitability.
Beate likes taking field trips. And
the operators in Hannover like having
her at their restaurants. She’s their ally
in driving sales and profits. In fact, a
survey of operators in Germany indi-
cated that the overwhelming majority
view the extensive full operations
review as an invaluable tool to help
improve quality, service and cleanli-
ness and to build McDonald’s brand
image.
