thenationto“GetCoastal.”That’smoreopeningsthaninanyotheryearinLJShistory.Infact,thatseafoodexcitementtranslated
intoanotherrecord-breakingLentenseason,achievingthehighestweeklysalesinthebrand’shistory.
Whilewestillhaveworktodo,we’regettingbetteratsatisfyingourcustomersandemployees.We’veseencustomercomplaints
fall35%andwe’vecutourdrive-throughspeedofservicetimeby50seconds.Ourteammemberturnovercontinuestodropfrom
232%in2002to157%in2004.We’reproudtobealeadingMultibrandpartnerandthroughouroperationssimplicityanda
focusondeliveringoutstandingcoreproducts,we’relookingforwardtothepossibilitiesin2005.Soifyouloveseafood,it’stime
to“GetCoastal”atLongJohnSilver’s.
Hometown FoodMadeFun Free Root Beer Floats, curiously delicious Cheese Curds and the reintroduction
of the famous Papa Burger were highlights for A&W Restaurants in 2004. A&W celebrated its 85th anniversary by giving
awayfreeRootBeerFloatsandour“HometownFoodMadeFun”brandpositionguidedmarketingandoperationsactivitiesall
year—featuringnew,improvedmenuitems.Goingforward,wewillcontinuetobuildourbrandbyleveragingourhistoryand
equityinbothsingleandmultibrandformats.
