A customer-focused enterprise
Using the Net
to serve customers
Our customers now have access in their own
language to general-information country sites
networked together and connected to the
Schneider Electric corporate site. Some units,
such as the Automation business, Schneider
Electric Spain and Schneider Electric Poland,
have developed more closely targeted content
with high value added. But the greatest advances
in e-business have been made in our
North American Division with E-Way. Deployed
in 1999 across the United States and Canada,
E-Way enables Schneider Electric employees,
distributors, and customers to access a wealth of
information, particularly for tracking inventories
and orders. One-third of our North American
distributors now use E-Way daily. In 1999,
the network processed some $100 million-worth
of orders.
