Financial Statements and notes thereto. The disclosures presented are excluding amounts associated with Card
Member loans and receivables HFS, unless otherwise indicated.
Certain reclassifications of prior period amounts have been made to conform to the current period presentation.
These reclassifications did not have a material impact on the Company’s financial position or results of operations.
Distribution of Assets, Liabilities, and Shareholders’ Equity; Interest Rates and Interest Differential
The following tables provide a summary of the Company’s consolidated average balances including major
categories of interest-earning assets and interest-bearing liabilities along with an analysis of net interest earnings.
Consolidated average balances, interest, and average yields are segregated between U.S. and non-U.S. offices. Assets,
liabilities, interest income and interest expense are attributed to the United States and outside the United States
based on the location of the office recording such items.
