both average volume and average rate. Major categories of interest-earning assets and interest-bearing liabilities have
been segregated between U.S. and non-U.S. offices. Average volume/rate changes have been allocated between the
average volume and average rate variances on a consistent basis based upon the respective percentage changes in
average balances and average rates.
