of calendar year 2009. This achievement is particularly
noteworthy given that Sony/ATV was ranked fifth in market
share just a few years ago.
*9 U.S. market share is based on the amount of radio airplay that Sony/ATV-
controlled songs receive in a given period.
Also in calendar year 2009, Sony/ATV Music Publishing
was named the American Society of Composers, Authors
and Publishers (ASCAP) Pop Publisher of the Year for the first
time in the company’s history—one of the industry’s most
prestigious and competitive awards.
