Ecological assessment creates transparency
We’ve not only set ambitious CO targets for our customers – we’ve also set them for ourselves. In
fiscal , we were responsible for the emission of . million tons of CO equivalents. This figure
includes all the CO emissions produced in the generation of the power and heat that we con-
sumed, all our direct CO emissions and all the CO emissions produced by employee business
travel. Car makers produce two to five times as much CO per employee and some oil companies
about times as much. Even if our performance is exemplary by comparison, we’re still not
satisfied: for , we’re planning to cut our greenhouse gas emissions percent compared to
, on a revenue-adjusted basis.
