Minimum lease payments have not been reduced by minimum sublease income of ¥14,583 million ($122
million) due in the future under noncancelable subleases.
Minimum rentals under operating leases for the years ended March 31, 2001, 2002 and 2003 were ¥93,727
million, ¥104,497 million and ¥94,364 million ($786 million), respectively. Sublease rentals under operating
leases for the years ended March 31, 2001, 2002 and 2003 were ¥5,078 million, ¥7,006 million and ¥6,240
million ($52 million), respectively. The total minimum rentals to be received in the future under noncancelable
subleases as of March 31, 2003 are ¥36,692 million ($306 million). The minimum rental payments required
under operating leases that have initial or remaining noncancelable lease terms in excess of one year at March
31, 2003 are as follows:
