Tide PODS
Tide PODS is an example of our commitment to
meaningful innovation that enables people to live
more sustainably. The three-chamber, premeasured
pacs are one of the most concentrated detergents
in the market and are packaged in either a tub or
a lightweight bag, reducing plastic use by % per
consumer. The tub is recyclable, and PODS are made
with a best-in-class film that is specially designed
to dissolve in cold water
requiring less energy
used to heat water for the wash. Less packaging
and reduced energy usage make each load a more
sustainable one. Having achieved North America
market leadership in single load packets detergents,
we continued expansion of this innovation
worldwide, rolling out Ariel “-in-” PODS in Europe,
Latin America, and Africa in .
Natural Gas
P&G has made a commitment to convert % of
our for-hire truck loads to natural gas, delivering cost
savings and reducing greenhouse gas emissions by
nearly , metric tons a year
equivalent to ,
passenger vehicles. Natural-gas-powered trucks
are a cleaner way to deliver superior products and
help ensure we’re taking the critical steps to make
our supply chain more efficient and sustainable.
