Acquisitions
There is a 12month period after the date of acquisition for the
Group to fi nalise the allocation of goodwill to these entities. The
corresponding goodwill is therefore provisional.
Goodwill generated by acquisitions made during the year totaled
EUR938million and correspond principally to Areva Distribution
(EUR727million), the Australian group Scada (EUR110million) and
the United Arab Emirates group Cimac (EUR33million).
Impairment
Impairment recorded over the year totals EUR15million and concerns
two small businesses in Europe that are currently being sold.
Impairment tests performed on all the Group’s CGUs have not led
to impairment losses being recognised.
Other changes
Translation adjustments concern principally goodwill onUSdollars.
