Dick Cabela, co-founder and Chairman
of the Board of Cabela’s, is inducted into
the Direct Marketing Association Hall of
Fame. The DMA Hall of Fame honors
direct-marketing professionals’ outstanding
career contributions to the practice, growth
and stature of the direct-marketing discipline.

Cabela’s SLA (Super Large Arbor) fl y
reel is named Best of the Best by Field &
Stream magazine.
Cabela’s enters a dealer agreement with
Kawasaki, allowing Cabela’s to offer ATVs
and Mule utility vehicles at select retail stores.
Cabela’s opens its second store of the year in
Boise, Idaho. November
Cabela’s opens its fourth store of 2006 in
La Vista, Nebraska, a suburb of Omaha.
Cabela’s now operates 18 retail stores
throughout the United States.

Cabela’s opens its third store of the year,
and its second in Wisconsin, in Richfi eld, a
suburb of Milwaukee.

A strong fourth quarter propels Cabela’s
to a record-breaking year, as the company
exceeds $2 billion in sales. Total revenue for
scal 2006 increased 14.7% to $2.06 billion
compared to $1.80 billion in fi scal 2005,
and net income increased 18.2% to a record
$85.8 million compared to $72.6 million in
the prior year.
Cabela’s ends the year with plans to open
eight retail stores in 2007.
