Other components of equity
The changes in the other components of equity are as follows:
Miscellaneous
Under the German Stock Corporation Act (Aktiengesetz), the amount of dividends
available for distribution to shareholders is based upon the earnings of Siemens
AG as reported in its statutory fi nancial statements determined in accordance with
the German Commercial Code (Handelsgesetzbuch). During the fi scal year ended
September 30, 2007, Siemens AG management distributed an ordinary dividend of
€1,292 (€1.45 per share) of the fi scal 2006 earnings of Siemens AG to its sharehold-
ers. The dividend was paid on January 26, 2007. During the year ended September
30, 2006, Siemens AG management distributed €1,201 (€1.35 per share) of the fi s-
cal 2005 earnings of Siemens AG as an ordinary dividend to its shareholders.
For fi scal 2007, the Managing Board proposed a dividend of €1.60 per share.
Payment of the proposed dividend is contingent upon approval by the sharehold-
ers at the Annual Shareholders’ Meeting on January 24, 2008. If approved, this
would amount to approximately €1,463.
