New Technology:
global market—owing to robust sales of
large-screen and Full HD models. In spring
2008, we reinforced the BRAVIA lineup by
introducing new medium and small-sized
models—some with thinner profi les and
others with different color variations. In the
current fi scal year, we are taking steps to
further increase unit sales and implement
cost reductions, with the aim of achieving a
substantial improvement in profi tability. With
sales of LCD rear projection and CRT televi-
sions continuing to decrease as markets
shrink, we will continue to focus on the LCD
television business, which is expected to
experience continued growth.
