The divestment of our Semiconductors division in 2006 was
a major milestone on a long journey of change for Philips. We
are entering a new era as a different, much simpler company.
Our commitment to improving the quality of people’s lives
through meaningful innovation, however, remains undiminished.
Now we can tighten our focus – addressing the need for better
