Our structure
Koninklijke Philips Electronics N.V. (the ‘Company’) is the
parent company of the Philips Group (‘Philips’ or the
‘Group’). The Company is managed by the members of
the Board of Management and Executive Committee
under the supervision of the Supervisory Board. The
Executive Committee operates under the chairmanship of
the Chief Executive Officer and shares responsibility for
the deployment of Philips’ strategy and policies, and the
achievement of its objectives and results.
Philips’ activities in the field of health and well-being are
organized on a sector basis, with each operating sector –
Healthcare, Consumer Lifestyle and Lighting – being
responsible for the management of its businesses
worldwide.
The Innovation, Group & Services sector provides the
operating sectors with support through shared service
centers. Furthermore, country management organization
supports the creation of value, connecting Philips with key
stakeholders, especially our employees, customers,
government and society. The sector also includes
pensions.

Members of the Board of Management and certain key
officers together form the Executive Committee
Innovation,
Group &
Services
Also included under Innovation, Group & Services are the
activities through which Philips invests in projects that are
currently not part of the operating sectors, but which
could lead to additional organic growth or create value
through future spin-offs.
At the end of 2012, Philips had 120 production sites in 29
countries, sales and service outlets in approximately 100
countries, and 118,087 employees.
