Commercial real estate
The commercial real estate lending portfolio totalled £74.8 billion at 31 December 2011, a 14% year-on-year decrease (2010 - £87.4 billion). The
commercial real estate sector comprises exposure to entities involved in the development of or investment in commercial and residential properties
(including homebuilders). The analysis below excludes rate risk management and contingent obligations.
