5Group performance
“2011 was a challenging year in terms of Philips’ financial
performance. The macro-economic developments and the
weakness of the Western European markets further impacted
this. Despite the challenges we achieved 4% comparable sales
growth – at the lower end of our mid-term performance
bandwidth, with a strong contribution from growth geographies
(33% of sales) – and 7.4% EBITA margin. ”
