 Inner City 100.
Described by Gordon
Brown as the “Enterprise
Oscars” the IC100 indexes
the fastest growing
businesses in Britain’s
inner cities. Atlas Works of
London, begun in a phone
box, was the 2003 winner.
 Money Advice Trust.
In 2003, our support for
MAT provided training
places for 4,500 money
advisers, improving the
quality of money advice
for 800,000 people facing
serious debt problems.
 Face 2 Face With
Finance. Since its
introduction in 1994 over
300,000 pupils in over half
of the secondary schools
in England and Wales have
participated in the F2FWF
programme. During 2003
the programme was
extended to Scotland.
 Aim Higher.
The campaign encourages
13 -16 year olds to think
about the benefits of
higher education. Seven
roadshows visited 1,300
schools and colleges,
reaching 135,000 young
people.
 Novel Employee
Reward Scheme. In 2003
we launched a popular
reward scheme. Six of our
people with over 5 years
service won a brand new
car each.
Our community programme is one of the largest in Europe and in 2003
the Group invested £40.1 million in the communities it serves.
