(1) The Group must only include particular types of subsidiary undertaking in the regulatory consolidation. Insurance undertakings and non-financial undertakings are excluded from the regulatory
consolidation, although they are included in the consolidation for financial reporting.
(2) The Group must proportionally consolidate its associated undertakings where they are classified as credit institutions or financial institutions for regulatory purposes. These will generally have been
equity accounted for financial reporting purposes.
